What is the 3D printed figure made of?

It is made of a patent material in USA, called VisiJet® PXL™ that has similar characteristics to plaster.

How long does it take to make a 3D printed figurine?

The entire process takes about 2-4 weeks, depending on the difficulty of the model and the volume of orders.

How long do I have to spend at your studio?

Please allow 15-30 minutes for your photos to be taken. This includes taking multiple photos, for you to choose your favorite, the preview of the raw model on the computer, and answering any questions you may have.

Is this safe?

The photo shooting is totally safe, even for kids and pregnant mothers. We are using the world most advanced photogrammetric method to capture multiple photos of you. All we need are DSLR cameras and light strobes.

At time of scanning

What do I need to be aware of during scanning?

You just need to stay in the middle of the studio and be yourself. Our system only takes less than 0.1 second to finish capturing your data. So choose your pose (you can even jump, if you like), and we will capture it on camera.

What cloths are not recommended when posing for 3D printed figurines?

You should know that transparent materials will confuse the system and generate faulty models. Try to avoid them! Also, small pieces like necklaces, pedants or other small jewelries might not be printed as clear as in real life on the final printed figurines, depending on the sizes of figurines you choose to print. You should also avoid glasses because the frames are too thin and the lenses are transparent.

What if I don’t like the photos resulted from scanning?

We will take multiple sets of photos and poses, for you to choose your favourite.

How do I keep the figurines in good condition?

Wipe dirt off with a soft brush along the texture of the 3D printed figurines. Do not use water to clean the figurine, and avoid any contact with water as it may damage it. Do not use corrosive liquid like lacquer thinner and detergent.

Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Avoid placing the 3D printed figurine around heavy accumulation of dust. Avoid long exposure to sunlight because it may cause color fading. The figurines are delicate, please be aware and not drop them on the ground.

I broke my figurine. Can I have another one?

We offer duplicate 3D printed figurines at a discounted price, in case you break it or you simply like to have more than one.
